Prerequisite - dogs must be 6 months or older
Intro to Barn Hunt class is for dogs 6 months or older and their handler who are just starting to explore the sport of Barn Hunt. Basic concepts, rules and skills will be reviewed as well as limited time working in a ring. If bringing multiple dogs, you must purchase additional slots. Maximum 8 dogs per session.
Prerequisite - Dogs must be 6 months or older and have taken a TRM Intro class, or equivalent and/or evaluated by TRM staff.
Beginner Barn Hunt is for dogs 6 months or older and handlers that have already taken an Intro to Barn Hunt class. Handlers have the general concept of the sport. Focus will be on Novice handling skills, reinforcement of basic skills, rules and understanding dog indication methods.
Prerequisite - Dogs must be 6 months or older and have taken a TRM Beginner class or equivalent, or be competing in BHA sanctioned trials at or above the Novice/Open level or evaluated by TRM staff.
Intermediate/Advanced Barn Hunt is for dogs 6 months or older and handlers that have taken a TRM Beginner class or are working in or towards the Senior Barn Hunt level. Handlers should be familiar with Barn Hunt rules and skills required. Courses become more challenging with larger search areas, advanced tunnels, distance challenges, and focus on handler skills. Handlers should have begun to recognize their dog's indications.
All classes are $55 per dog for a two hour session, unless otherwise noted.
